The Go Forth Alliance - Statement of Faith

We believe in the one true God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coeternal and coequal from all eternity, each with distinct personalities but of one essence.

We believe that “all scripture is given by inspiration of God” and, therefore, is the inerrant, infallible Word of God the sole, authoritative rule of faith and practice.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He entered into the world through the virgin birth, and lived among us without sin as perfect Man and perfect God.

We believe Adam was directly created in innocence and in the image of God and was not evolved from preexisting forms of life. By voluntary transgression, he fell; and thus the whole race became depraved in nature and sinful in conduct and, therefore, under just condemnation to eternal separation from God.

We believe Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross as a vicarious substitute for all sinners, was buried and rose again bodily, and ascended into Heaven where He ever lives to make intercession for those who come unto God by Him.

We believe that the atoning work of Jesus Christ has provided salvation for the lost human race and that salvation is for whosoever will come to Him.

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the sinner; regenerates, sanctifies, and indwells the believer; and fills the believer for effective service.

We believe the person who believes with a truly repentant heart in the shed blood of Jesus Christ is justified from his past sins and is made a new creature in Christ, thereby being enabled to live above the practice of sin.

We believe this justifying faith is a gift of God given to all who truly repent and hunger and thirst after righteousness and that this saving faith is accompanied by the witness of the Spirit.

We believe we should exhort all believers to go on unto Perfect Love. By Perfect Love we mean the love of God and man so filling our hearts that it delivers us from all sin, all sinful tempers and desires. This change is both gradual and instantaneous.

We believe that the person who belongs to Christ ought to show a transformation of life by separation from all evil and from worldly attitudes and practices which would prove to be impediments to his testimony and detrimental to spiritual life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the just unto the resurrection of life eternal, and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.
